Salento I love you

Salento is at the southern end of Puglia, the ‘heel’ of the Italian ‘boot’

It encompasses the entire area of the province of Lecce, a large part of the province of Brindisi and part of Taranto.

Salento is rich in lovely beaches, fun and accomodations.

Castro, in the Italian province of Lecce, is one of the best seaside resorts of Salento. It offers history, culture and wonderful beaches, so it is the perfect place for summer holidays in Puglia. The territory of Castro is rugged, with few flat areas and little extension. The coastline is dotted with ravines and caves. The most famous cave of Castro Marina is Zinzulusa, to be visited by boat. Beautiful seaside resorts lie not far from the town, such as Castro Marina, Marina di Marittima and Martittima di Diso.

Gallipoli or “Pearl of the Ionian”is a town in the province of Lecce in Puglia on the Ionian Sea coast. It is one of the most crowded cities of Salento.

This city is known as one of the most coveted locations by young people and lovers of fun. It’s a journey between beaches with music all day, becoming open-air discos at night. Punta Pizzo, Baia Verde, Punta della Suina, Rivabella, ‘The beach of Purity’ and Lido Conchiglie are some of the best and most popular beaches of Gallipoli.

Otranto, in the province of Lecce, is a maze of narrow streets with a charming historical centre. The coastline is renowned for its beauty: here there are many sandy beaches like Baia di Orte, Baia dei Turchi and Porto Badisco. Nearby you can visit the Alimini Lakes. Baia dei Turchi is a paradise comparable to the Caribbean appearance. It is an inlet characterized by a strip of white sand, clean flat sea that is a thousand shades of blue. The free beach is a pleasure to see and the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.
